Domaine Hubert Bourgogne

The Domaine Hubert Bouzereau Gruère is a family business and located in the heart of bourgogne, the meursault. Hubert Bouzereau, 7th generation of the winemaker family, founded his own company in 1970 with his wife Marie-France. A marriage between Meursault and Chassagne Montrachet: that must result in beautiful wine. The domain was created in the 1970s when Hubert Bouzereau, born into a winemaker’s family in Meursault, married Marie France Gruère, from neighboring Chassagne. The winery is located on the Route des Grands Crus. From the south (Chalon sur Saône), the winery is located at the entrance of Meursault. From the north (Beaune), the winery is just at the
exit from Meursault, direction Puligny-Montrachet. Hubert’s brother, Vincent, owns a domaine in Chassagne-Montrachet.

The Bouzereau family is one of the largest families of Meursault, literally and figuratively. Hubert is Pierre’s son, Vincent’s brother and Michel’s cousin, and they are all top Meursault. Hubert is a passionate winemaker, he works with pleasure and care in the vineyards and in the cellar and is currently passing on his expertise and passion to his daughters. Hubert’s daughters have joined their father’s company since 1995. Marie-Laure and Marie-Anne are currently in charge of the winery, which now covers 10 hectares in 6 communes of the Côte de Beaune. The production counts for 3/4 white wine and 1/4 red wines.

Marie-Laure and Marie-Anne emphasize the importance of old vines for the dimension in Bouzereau’s wines. The yields are thereby arranged with even more ease. Marie-Anne and Marie-Laure guarantee well-balanced wines with good minerality, good aromatic purity and good acidity that make the wines of great finesse
