The Domaine Raoul Gautherin et fils is a family domain founded in 1585 and handed down from father to son for many generations. Taking advantage of ancestral knowledge and top class vineyards exposed on the best slopes ensures very great potential. The wines are vinified in the traditional way, to allow the clay-limestone soil to express itself inimitably in the wine. The vineyards are cultivated with precision and passion in a rational and sustainable way.

Quality
The domain produces from ‘basic’ Chablis to the great Grand Crus. The Les Vaillons is made from Vieille Vignes, or old sticks. When you consider how those roots feel like fish in water in the mineral-rich soil, and are also planned for decades, you know what depth to expect.
